Report: This iron occurrence was screened out and not visited because of the ridgetop location and because Pete Northcutt (active claimant in the area) reported that the adit was caved and dry. Northcutt had active mining claims in the area and had visited many of the mines. Johnson et al. (1993) described two open cuts and the USBM resampled the location in 1991. Tertiary quartz diorite and Cretaceous limestone and shale hosts the iron-copper mineralization (Johnson et al., 1993).
