Report: Ballarat The Ballarat area has been completely reclaimed and covered, and the information presented here was compiled by Sahinen (1950). There is a road through the area where the mine is supposed to be that is totally reclaimed. Low grade brecciated limestone with a quartz-limonite matrix was mined from several adits. Host rock is the Cambrian Meagher formation.
