Report: Overlook Mine and Mill One open adit and one caved adit explore a skarn with quartz, garnet, calcite, chlorite, actinolite, and tremolite in Mission Canyon Formation. The only evidence of metals are some secondary copper minerals. Mill ruins are located below the mine, but no tailings are present. Revisited 08/14/1992. The adit is open and dry. The country rock is marble. The adit is following through the center of a garnet skarn. The mineralogy of the dump is garnet, calcite, epidote (sprays in fractures, crystals in cavities), quartz, and possible tremolite and actinolite. There are no sulfides present at the site. Adit strikes S60E, is open and dry. There is a second caved and dry adit uphill from this location. Basically the same mineralogy, but possible traces of copper at the second adit.
