Report: Nancy Helen - PO008276 Some confusion arises as to the identity of the Nancy and the Nancy Helen. Clarke Smith (personnal communication) states that this mine, located just north of Ophir Creek, is the Nancy Helen. The dump is comprised of unaltered (granodiorite?) intrusive. The adit is completely caved and there may have been two adits at different levels, at one time. There are some weathered boards remaining and an old wagon with just wheel rims remaining, which is dangling over the slope. No adit discharge or streamside waste. There is a road to the mine beginning between the two cattleguards, on the flat section of the road.
