M.A. and P.J. McDonnell, of Deer Lodge, filed cards with the MBMG.In 1972 they were movng an ld taling pile and testing iit showed that it "carries good values". They were preparing to strp off false bedrock to work strataof gravel which carries much coarse, fine nuggets. In 1973 the tailings were stripped from paygravel and piled for ground reclamation. Settling ponds were established. There were no hazards and no environmental problems. MBMG sampled the approximate area in their report of the adit in NE1/4 sec 32. |
