Agency: NF Region District: R1 Ranger District: GARDINER Forest Service Tract: Watershed Code: 10070001 Forest or Resource Area: GALLATIN Owner: M Impact: Report: This mine was described in MBMG Memoir 20 as the placer and 9 unpatented claims near Jardine. It employed 7 men during the summer of 1939. It was worked by several tunnels, 50 to 100 ft long. No other mention was found of it. It is probably the same as the more general Bear Creek Placer described in Lyden (1948). The general are was visited but no adverse effects were noted. |
