Report: This site was screened out because it is on private land. Owner in 2013 was Black Diamond Aggregates, Inc. of Emigrant, MT (John Fanuzzi & Dennis Menders). Reference to Merriman Quarrry in "Paradise Valley on the Yellowstone" by Doris Whithorn. According to this book, the quarry operated seasonally fron 1930's to 1976 when the Park Branch of the Northern Pacific was torn up. Produced riprap to line streams/bridges and for railroad ballast for roadbeds.
