Report: The workings in this area were mentioned in Seager (1944). This site also coincides with the "upper Pine Creek area" of Wedow et al., 1975. They describe an open shaft, timbered with water within 12 ft of the land surface on USFS-administered land to the south of Empire Hill. Several workings were located in this inventory but all were dry.
