Report: This mine is associated with the Pilgrim and St. Croix patented claims but overlaps onto GNF-administered land. The actual workings are on public land as is the well built cabin. The two adits are still open and equipment (old compressors and a partially dismantled bulldozer) is still present at the site. The second adit is not mentioned in Stotelmeyer et al. (1983) and may postdate that study (the field work was done in 1973 and 1974). A shaft is partially caved. No environmental concerns were noted. Very few sulfides are present on the waste dumps. The mine explored a quartz-sulfide replacement vein along a brecciated shear zone in basalt (Stotelmeyer et al., 1983).
