Report: Mined by screen and sluice, the placer gravel consists of bench gravels with flood debris on hillsides (McCulloch, 2001). Operated by Max Johnson in the 1990's. Seeking isolated pockets of gold missed by previous miners in benches covered by overburden piles and in gravel lenses that cover isolated portions of talus in the drainage.
