Report: The Silver Strand property was visited on 07/13/01 by MBMG staff. No open adits or other hazards were identified. The USGS (Wallace and Hosterman, 1956) described the property as being 2 miles west of Randolph Creek. Two collapsed adits were located northwest of the Interstate 90 rest area and west of Shamrock Creek, between the Interstate and Forest Route 4208. One collapsed cabin was also at the site. Wallace and Hosterman (1956) identified chalcopyrite with some malachite and azurite, with some galena previously described as present. The property is associated with the Silver Creek Fault.
