Report: The Buffalo vein was described in Wallace and Hosterman (1956) as containing galena, chalcopyrite, and free gold. They did not visit it. The area in which the mine is located was scanned with binoculars from Forest Route 391 but because of its small nature, no attempt was made to visit the vein. One open cut in an outcrop along the steep slope could be discerned from the ridge.
