Agency: BLM Region District: BUTTE Ranger District: Forest Service Tract: Watershed Code: Forest or Resource Area: GARNET Owner: B Impact: Report: Bellview (MI006011) The Bellview workings consist of an intact headframe above an open shaft, an open-cut below the shaft, and mostly revegetated waste rock. Host rock is granodiorite; mineralization includes limonite staining and secondary copper mineral stains. An AIM sample of dump rock assayed greater than 10,000 ppm lead, 502 ppm zinc, greater than 10,000 ppm copper, 174.5 ppm silver, 0.0100 ounces of gold, and 156 ppm arsenic. This appears to be a vein deposit. All workings at this site are dry. Large portions of the site have been revegetated. A small spring is located approximately 150 feet southwest of the shaft but does not appear to be in contact with waste rock. All workings are on BLM land. |
