Report: Nellie (MI005755) The Nellie workings are believed to be located a short distance southwest of a dilapidated cabin. Workings consist of at least 3 collapsed adits, 1 collapsed shaft, and several small to moderately sized waste rock dumps. Total surface disturbance is approximately 2 acres. Host rock is medium-gray, limy, dolomite with minor calcite. The only apparent sign of mineralization is iron oxide stain in part. The dolomite has dark-gray to black beds and laminae in part; this could possibly be organic material. This BLM site is located near the top of a ridge; all workings are dry.
