Report: Crystal Springs-Rambler-Valley (MI005451/MI002478/MI002640) The Crystal Springs, Rambler, and Valley claims are located adjacent to the Clemantha. Total surface disturbance for these sites is no more than several acres. Little information is available regarding the type and number of underground workings at these sites. In any event, all underground workings are caved. These include a number of adits and shafts. There are also several waste rock dumps on these claims. Host rock is granodiorite (near the limestone contact); the gangue mineralogy is quartz. As with the Clemantha, these were gold-silver prospects. Judging from surface disturbance and dumps, production from these mines was small to modest. The Crystal Springs and Valley sites are on patented claims; the Rambler lies on BLM land. These sites are located on a dry hillside and pose no apparent environmental threats.
