Report: Bullidick Prospect (MA006803) The Bullidick Prospect consists of a large open cut or quarry approximately 100 yards long (with a highwall). Surface disturbance is approximately 2 acres. Host rock is a tan to white, banded, and brecciated marble; extensive fracturing and solution features are evident. In some portions of the quarry, dark dolomite clasts are found "floating" in the marble. Johns mapped this area as Meager Limestone near a contact with Precambrian gneiss (Johns, 1961). There is light to moderate limonite staining on the highwall but most of the site is covered with crushed rock exhibiting no apparent mineralization. A sample from this site assayed trace lead, trace zinc, 0.06% copper, 0.20 ounces silver, and 0.24 ounces gold. Primary production from this prospect is believed to be marble. All workings are situated on a dry saddle at the head of Dry Georgia Gulch; land ownership is USFS.
