Report: White Angel Quarry (MA003573) The White Angel Quarry is located a short distance northwest of the Bullidick Prospect. This dry quarry covers approximately 4 acres. Host rock is a tan to white, banded marble similar to the Bullidick (the marble contains less inclusions at this location possibly indicating more complete metamorphism). The principle commodity mined here was "onyx" marble (MBMG files). This site was operational in 1967. The lack of vegetation in the quarry suggests relatively recent activity. This dry site is located on USFS land.
