Report: Unnamed-Lemon Gulch Sites (MA003163/MA003158) Two unnamed sites are found on a dry ridgeline east of Lemon Gulch. The upper site consists of trenches, pits, 1 probable caved adit, and several small dumps; surface disturbance is approximately 2 acres. The lower site has a single caved adit and a moderately sized dump; surface disturbance is less than 1 acre. Host rock is Precambrian Gneiss (granite gneiss); both sites appears to be quartz vein deposits. The only apparent sign of mineralization is moderate iron-oxide staining on the dumps. An AIM sample collected at the upper site assayed 1200 ppm zinc, 500 ppm lead, 64 ppm copper, 1.4 ppm silver, trace gold, and 2 ppm arsenic. Judging from the small to moderate size of the dumps, production here was probably small. These dry sites are located on private land (with federal mineral ownership).
