Report: The Grizzly Claims (formerly the Missouri Group) are located on Leigh Creek about 2 miles above the confluence of Leigh Creek and Cherry Creek (Johns, 1959). The Grizzly was also identified as the McDonald property by Billingsley (unpublished), and there are 7 unpatented claims (Johns, 1970). Many adits were driven at altitudes of 3,600 and 4,400 feet. The most abundant gangue material in the veins is quartz (Gibson, 1948).
