Report: Overland Creek Mine Two flooded shafts and one caved adit in an area of extensive placer mining comprise the Overland Creek mine. The locations of the workings indicate a N79W vein trend over at least 300 feet of strike length. The eastern shaft has 500 tons of quartz monzonite with kaolinite and siderite alteration products in the dump. A select sample of quartz-tourmaline-pyrite-galena-sphalerite vein had .488 oz/ton Au, 8.03 oz/ton Ag, .170% Cu, 6.50% Pb, and 3.3% Zn.
