Report: Mike #14 A caved adit, with more than 500 feet of workings, crosscuts to the Cataract-Sirius vein. More than 50% of the dump is unaltered quartz monzonite; the remainder contains quartz, sericite, and pyrite alteration products. A select sample of quartz-pyrite-galena-sphalerite vein from the ore bin had 0.144 oz/ton Au, 6.02 oz/ton Ag, 0.178% Cu, 7.29% Pb, and 3.98% Zn. Mosses and sedges near the portal indicate a slight seasonal discharge on national forest lands.
