Report: Non Pariel(Queen) Emmons and Calkins (1913) provide the most information on this site. The mine was worked from 1889 to 1893, with about $50,000 in silver and lead produced. It consisted of a 280 foot shaft with two levels. The ore occurs on a brecciated fault contact of Jefferson and Mission Canyon limestone up to 120 feet wide. The ore consisted of iron stained limestone and clay with nodules of galena, lead carbonate, and copper carbonate. In 1907, an 80 ton shipment averaged 37 oz/ton Ag, 1.7% Cu, 8% Pb, and 13% Zn. Presently, all workings are covered by overburden from recent bulldozer work. Some limestone breccia with a chalcedony-iron oxide matrix and a N46W 77NE orientation is exposed in outcrop at the site. This attitude is similar to that of the Brooklyn structure on trend one half mile to the southeast.
