Report: International (GR000068) The International workings consist of prospect pits, probable caved adits, and multiple small waste rock dumps. Pardee indicated that this site was developed by a 100' shaft and levels (Pardee, 1918). The workings are located a short distance north of the ghost town of Garnet; surface disturbance is approximately 2 acres. Host rock is granodiorite; gangue mineralogy is quartz. This vein deposit was a silver-gold prospect; flake or leaf gold was embedded in limonite in an ore specimen from this mine (Pardee, 1918). Gold content ranged from 4 to 8 ounces per ton; silver ranged from 5 to 10 ounces per ton (Pardee, 1918). Information regarding mine history and production are sketchy; smelter certificates of intermittent shipments from 1910-1914 amounted to approximately $9000.00 (Pardee, 1918). All workings observed on this patented claim were dry; no apparent environmental problems exist.
