Agency: NF Region District: R1 Ranger District: SPOTTED BEAR Forest Service Tract: Watershed Code: 17010209 Forest or Resource Area: FLATHEAD Owner: N Impact: Report: Glacier Prospect FH004373 This site, located in the Bob Marshall Wilderness area, was screened out because Marks (1978) described the workings as consisting of a 15-foot long pit and a 75-foot long trench. The workings were on a steep hillside 900 feet above Black Bear Creek in section 16, T23N R13W (Pagoda Mountain quadrangle). The site is a barite vein-type deposit in the Precambrian McNamara formation. No production has been recorded. |
