Report: Lyden stated no production since 1904; gold derived from "veins such as those developed in the Hanson, Cave and American Flag mines." Inaccurate location; taken from Woodward, L.A., 1995. " Placer gold was discovered along Alpine Gulch in the Judith Mountains in 1879-1880. This discovery was soon followed by mining of gold placers on Warm Spring Creek near Maiden, in the upper part of Ruby Gulch, Ford Creek, and its tributary Maiden Creek, and the headwaters of Armells Creek."
