Agency: NF Region District: R1 Ranger District: KINGS HILL Forest Service Tract: Watershed Code: 10030105 Forest or Resource Area: LEWIS AND CLARK Owner: P Impact: U Report: The location the Graham and Hollowbush mine in on the west side of Belt Creek by its juction with O'Brien Creek at the southern end of Neihart (Robertson, 1951). This mine is located on private land. There are not any tailing and there is not a mill site. There is not any discharging adits, but the floodplain contains mine waste and or it shows signs of water erosion. There are not any hazardous wastes present, but there are some hazardous structures. Robertson (1951) states that the first development of the mine was an adits was driven on the vein where it outcroped. Later, a 250 foot shaft was sunk, crosscuts were driven, and drift were driven north and south from the crosscuts. |
