Report: Marie CB000021 The Marie Mine, located a short distance southwest of the Dandy, includes several prospect pits/trenches, a relatively large open adit, and several waste rock dumps, one of which is substantial. Total surface disturbance at the site is approximately 1 acre. Host rock is Permian Phosphoria dolomite; there is very little evidence of uranium mineralization on the waste rock found in the dumps. Sparse to moderate limonite/hematite staining was noted. As with other sites in the area, this was probably a stratiform(?) uranium deposit. This site is located at the head of a dry drainage; all workings are also dry. All disturbances are on BLM land.
