Report: Dandy (Pryor Mountain) CB000015 The Dandy or Pryor Mountain Mine consists of open cuts, prospect pits and trenches, a number of adits (3 of which are open), and waste rock piles of varying size. Total surface disturbance is approximately 10 acres; this is a BLM site. Host rock is Permian Phosphoria Formation (argillaceous, cherty, limy dolomite); the ore deposit is believed to be stratiform. Carnotite(?) coatings are present on some of the waste rock; carnotite was probably the principal ore mineral. Other mineralization includes iron-oxide staining (limonite and hematite). All workings at this site are dry; there is no water component.
