Report: This mine is marked by a shaft symbol on the Storm Peak 7½-minute quadrangle. It is actually a caved, east-trending adit (possibly a trench?). There are also several more prospects in this area. The adit appears to have be started in Phosphoria Formation, but mostly a gray quartzite (Quadrant?) is on the dump. It appears that the area was explored for copper because fairly abundant, greenish, copper minerals (azurite/malachite?) are on the dump, along with vuggy rock lined with calcite crystals. The adit was probably less than 30 feet long judging by the small dump. DeBoer (1991) mapped this area at a scale of 1"=200' detailing the outcrops and the prospects.
