Report: Geach (1972) describes this district as being discovered in 1883, with production totals of 312 oz Au, 120,023 oz Ag, 20,937 lb Cu, 11,140 lb Pb, and 12,100 lb Zn. See Geach (1972) pages 120 to 123, Sassman (1941) pages 272 to 276 and Loen and Pearson (1989) page 41 for a more detailed description. Sassman (1933) describes the Lost Cloud as being south of the Polaris Mine but the mines here are so close together that it is difficult to separate them.
