Report: Quote from Popoff and Service, 1965, ....."The LaMarche Creek mine (fig. 47) is about 2 miles northwest of the Maiden Rock mine, and 1 1/2 miles northwest of the Canyon Creek mine (fig. 41). Victor Chemical Works began development in 1951 and drove two adits at an elevation of about 6, 750 feet to connect with the Canyon Creek mine. It will be possible to tap the lower levels of the LaMarche Creek mine from Canyon Creek by drifting at the 5500-foot level or by crosscutting and drifting on the 5400-foot level. Development of this mine was resumed in 1961, and ore is being mined from stopes above the main drift. No information concerning mining or production is available. According to the U.S. Geological Survey, the entire member, 26.8 feet thick, consists of low-grade ore (18 percent P2O5, table 16.)"
