Agency: NF Region District: R1 Ranger District: DILLON Forest Service Tract: Watershed Code: 10020004 Forest or Resource Area: BEAVERHEAD Owner: N Impact: Report: Quote from Pattee, E.C., 1960 ....." The claims are on the south slope of the west peak of Twin Adams Mountain and are adjacent to the Lost Creek mine. The east boundary of the Mount Torrey batholith extends southward through the property. The igneous mass intrudes Amsden limestone and Quadrant quartzite. Debris from two trenches contains a small amount of disseminated scheelite in tactite, but none is exposed in place. A grab sample from a trench at the north end of the claims assayed a trace of WO3. Assays of two other samples from the same trench and one sample from a second trench showed no tungsten." The USBM MLA (1994) reported one shallow adit, pits and two bulldozer trenches. The USBM also took three samples yielding assays of trace, 0.15%, and 0.43% tungsten. |
