Report: Little Hawk BE000756 Little Hawk Mill BE008020 The Little Hawk consists of a large ridge-top open cut with one or two minor underground exploration tunnels. There is an open inclined shaft to the southeast. Below the ridge, is a gravity mill in poor condition and tailings impounded in good condition. No runoff was observed and the only possible erosion would be from wind on the dry, unconsolidated, silt-sand sized tailings. The area is reasonably revegetated with sagebrush and grasses. Analysis of the tailings both by the MBMG and Pioneer Technical Services would remove this site as a possible environmental problem. Assays from the Little Hawk tailings (PGLH-1) assayed 0.006 opt Au, 0.02 opt Ag, 0.05% Cu, 0.001% Pb, and 0.003% Zn. This sample was composited from the tailings.
