Report: References for this phosphate occurrence include Swanson, 1970, Popoff and Service, 1965 and Minobras, 1975. A field visit revealed a 75' trench bulldozed into black, Permian Phosphoria and six or more prospect pits in the general area. Literature states the grade here for 5.0' is 16.3% P2O5 with the ore being oolitic to pelletal apatite as a result of chemical sedimentation (Swanson, 1970). Thickness is uncertain because of thrust faulting in the area.
