Report: T.D.-6: BE000702 The U.S. Bureau of Mines published a study of this mine (Pattee, E.C., 1960) including a map at 1"=75', with an excellent one-page description. It is located of the west side of the ridge ½-mile west of Taylor Creek. There is reportedly no production for tungsten, but a few truckloads of manganese ore were mined. A grab sample from a 2.5-ton pile of oxides ran 5.38% manganese, 0.12% WO3, 0.14% Cu, 84% silica and no P2O5 (Pattee, 1960). Assays for the T.D.-6 (PGTD-1) showed 0.0005 opt Au, <0.006 opt Ag, 0.01% Cu, 0.002 Pb and 0.01% Zn, with anomalous manganese (5090 ppm) and 160 ppm tungsten.
