Report: Capitol Claim BE000665 The Capitol lies to the south of the Old Faithful claim but the major workings lie to the south on private land. Geach, 1972 has a geologic sketch map of the numerous pits and adits here. He describes the deposit as a lens of jasperoid approximately 200 feet long and five to 20 feet wide at the contact of Jefferson limestone and an overlying basalt. Results of the select sample PGCP-1 were 0.004 opt Au, 0.15 opt Ag, 0.11% Cu, 4.15% Pb and 0.10% Zn. This sample consisted of yellow-brown microcrystalline quartz (jasperoid ?), with some siliceous breccia.
