Report: "The Monument mine is in sec. 4, T 10 S., R. 14 W. (Fig. 11). The property consists of Monument, Monument Extension, Green Mountain, Welcome, Daisy, Eugene, and Alps, all patented claims owned by the Monument Copper Mining Company ....(describes the deposit)... The collar of the shaft is caved, and a lower adit driven toward the shaft is caved at the portal." Geach, 1972, p. 30-32. Sassman (1941) stated that ownership passed from Keppler to Iddings to Christie. It is situated about 4 miles northwest of Brenner, Montana. There was a drift from the bottom of a 60-ft shaft. It was a copper mine.
