Report: "The Baltic is a patented mining claim in sec. 4 and 5, T. 10 S., R 14 W. (Fig. 11), now owned by R.A. Wellborn of Grant. The workings on the claim consist of a surface cut that has exposed a 2-foot quartz vein that strikes S. 75o SE. The quartz is iron stained and contains some manganese oxides. The only recorded production from the claim, in 1917 and 1918, totaled 60 tons and yeilded 3,504 pounds of copper, 117 ounces of silver, and 2 ounces of gold." Geach, 1972, p. 30-32.
