Report: Unnamed gold, bismuth BE000419 This unpatented occurrence consists of four or more open, untimbered adits and two lower, partially collapsed adits, individually probably not more than 25'-100'. Property boundaries according to the BLM map show BLM ownership, but the topographic map shows possible Bannack State Park ownership. Pennsylvanian Quadrant quartzite (with a small sliver of Amsden Formation) has been thrust over Mississippian Madison limestone (upper Mission Canyon member) (Lowell, 1965). Dumps are located in the drainage but no water was present at the time of the visit and no sulfides were noted on the dumps. Minerals present include quartz (both boxwork veinlets and drusy crystals) and iron oxides. There is no record of production for this prospect.
