Report: The Haggerty property may also be known as the Kopper Koin (one of the unpatented claims filed here). The open shafts have been fenced with barbed wire and warning signs put up by DSL-AMRB. The one of the adits is still open, but not greater than 10 to 20 feet. The property spans from the base of the hill on the south side of Birch Creek along the limestone/granodiorite contact up the ridge, at least 1500 feet. Pattee (1960) has an excellent description of the property and a map with assay results (p. 24-26). It is a tungsten mine and the host rock is Mount Torrey batholith and Mission Canyon limestone. One cabin at the base of the claim looks habitable; it is furnished and locked.
