Agency: NF Region District: R1 Ranger District: DILLON Forest Service Tract: Watershed Code: 10020002 Forest or Resource Area: BEAVERHEAD Owner: N Impact: Report: Tender Group (BE000054) The Tender Group site is located a short distance NW of the Legal Tender Mine. Identifiable workings in 1994 consisted of a caved shaft surrounded by several small dumps. Surface disturbance is less than 1 acre. Host rock is Cambrian Flathead quartzite. This appears to be a vein deposit with workings exploring quartz veins in the quartzite. A moderate amount of limonite staining is found on dump rock and around caved workings; there was no other evidence of mineralization. Ore minerals included gold, silver, copper, lead, zinc, and antimony (Lawson, 1976). Workings are located on the east side of a dry N-S trending ridge; there is no water component. All workings are located on USFS land. |
