Report: The only reference to this copper-silver mine was in Roby (1950) p. 29 which states that it is a group of 21 patented claims. It was discovered in 1867, was most active from 1914-1924, and workings were inaccessible in 1950. Workings on the Northern Pacific claim consisted of a shaft 500 feet deep, and workings on the St. Johns claim was a shaft 200 feet deep. No production records were available. The mine was located in Belt shales and the ore was in narrow veins. The site was screened out because it plotted on private land, downstream from Lewis and Clark National Forest-adiministered land.
